Winter Crossing

A muted winter landscape seen in passing — snow, wet earth, low brush, and pale water fading into a gray horizon. The image was made during the 6000 km journey from Vancouver to Halifax, where the scenery kept changing day by day: mountains giving way to open land, harsher weather, and a quieter, more restrained light.
