6000km
This collection was made during a two-week journey from Vancouver to Halifax — more than 6000 kilometres across Canada, after thirty-five years of living on the West Coast.
The road became a passage between two lives. Mountains disappeared behind me. Forests, plains, frozen fields, small towns, empty roads, snow, rain, fog, and pale winter light kept changing through the window. Every day the landscape shifted, and with it, something inside me shifted too.
These photographs are not only records of a trip. They are fragments of leaving, crossing, and beginning again. They hold the silence of highways, the loneliness of distance, and the strange beauty of moving forward without knowing what waits on the other side.
